Method:
This article may contain quest spoiling information! Firstly, go to Thoris and speak to Baron Johann Ardlich in the palace. Ask him about Forgula. SHOW MAP File:\Uexploringthenorthquest1.png Conversation with Baron Johann Ardlich Player: hi Baron Johann Ardlich: Hoho! Welcome, welcome. What do you need from me? Player: Forgula Baron Johann Ardlich: You wish to travel to north? I am afraid only my personal mercenaries may ask for Sven's services and since we I am no longer recruiting you will not be able to get there... Baron Johann Ardlich: However, lately Sven has not been travelling there a lot and I want his rafting skills to stay sharp... Baron Johann Ardlich: I suppose I could make an exception but obviously you will have to prove yourself first. I do not want to allow you to travel there just to get yourself killed... Baron Johann Ardlich: Some time ago a family heirloom was taken from me. Some thief must have entered the castle... Baron Johann Ardlich: We do not deal with many bandits up here but the amazon camps east of Thoris and also near Lucindel seem to have a new leader called Fonia... Baron Johann Ardlich: We tried to catch her already but she is smart and hides herself most of the time. I believe she talked the amazons into rebelling against me... Baron Johann Ardlich: Search for the watch in the amazon camps. If you find Fonia along the way do me a favor and get rid of her... Baron Johann Ardlich: Come back to me if you find my father's watch, Player. The Baron's Watch You have requested passage to the northern islands at Baron Johann Ardlich. He considers letting you use his rafter Sven but wants you to find a old family heirloom first. He suspects that the amazons are behind the theft. You can find Baron's watch in the Rogue camp far to the south east of Thoris. Climb down the ladder. SHOW MAP Once you get there and go downstairs as shown, go to the room with the quest door. Inside, you will face 2 Mercenarys, 3 Mercenary Cavalries and a Witch. SHOW MAP File:\Uexploringthenorthquest2.png The watch will be in a trunk inside the room. Once you have the watch, return to the Baron and mention Forgula once again. SHOW MAP Conversation with Baron Johann Ardlich Player: hi Baron Johann Ardlich: Hoho! Welcome, welcome. What do you need from me? Player: Forgula Baron Johann Ardlich: Did you find my father's watch, Player? Player: yes Baron Johann Ardlich: That's the watch indeed! Well done! The Baron's Watch You have found the fancy watch and returned it to the Baron of Thoris. Since the Baron does not continue the conversation, we then have to talk to him about Forgula one last time. Conversation with Baron Johann Ardlich Player: hi Baron Johann Ardlich: Hoho! Welcome, welcome. What do you need from me? Player: Forgula Baron Johann Ardlich: Hmmm, so you still want to travel to the north? We had a deal. Therefore, I shall allow you to to use Sven's services... Baron Johann Ardlich: However, I warn you. Forgula and Coldridge are filled with nasty creatures. Azure Mercenaries know how to deal with them but not every adventurer can... Baron Johann Ardlich: Do not get yourself killed up there, Player! We do not want another human to turn into the undead! ... Baron Johann Ardlich: Oh, and before I forget: You will have to pay Sven for his services. I pay him myself for offering passage to my mercenaries but I may not waste tax money on you, sorry. I am sure he will give you a good deal. The Baron's Watch You have found the fancy watch and returned it to the Baron of Thoris. He allowed you to talk to Sven about a passage to the northern islands. Now, go to boatman Sven in Holdangraff east of Thoris. SHOW MAP Ask Sven about Forgula. Conversation with Sven Player: hi Sven: Welcome, Player. Player: Forgula Sven: Baron Johann Ardlich sent me a letter mentioning that I should take you to Coldridge and Forgula if you wish to go there... Sven: Obviously, that's fine with me but before we get going here are a few ground rules... Sven: No jumping while we are on the raft, no rapid movements of any kind and most importantly, I require absolute silence... Sven: We do not want to make ourselves known to the creatures on these islands. Anyways, that'd be all. If you wish, we can get going. Where would you like to go? The Baron's Watch (completed) After explaining you the basics regarding the passage to the north, Sven is willing to take you to either Coldridge or Forgula.
