Basics
- Elite creatures are stronger versions of defeated monsters.
- The spawn rate of elite creatures can be increased by using elite spawn boosters, purchasable with elite tokens.
- Elite creatures spawning might be entirely turned off. Check Options -> Game -> "Prevent elite monsters spawning" (mark it)
- Common and rare elite creatures spawn in the next respawn cycle, while legendary elites spawn immediately after a kill:
Elite creatures rarity
Creature rarity decides what colour will have their icon (one next to their name).

Common elites have yellow icon and boost in stats: 30% health boost, 50% experience boost, 10% loot boost, 10% attack chance boost.

Rare elites have icon with some colour (other than yellow) and boost in stats: 100% health boost, 120% experience boost, 50% loot boost, 20% attack chance boost.
Legendary elites have orange-red skull icon (only they use this icon shape) and boost in stats: 500% health boost, 780% experience boost, 600% loot boost, 30% attack chance boost. They may have additional loot in table and additional attacks. They often have a unique name.
Elite creatures type
Elite creatures type is indicated by their icon shape (one next to their name):
![]()
Juggernaut: additional 1.5x health multiplier, 1.5x loot multiplier and 1.5x experience multiplier.
![]()
Warden: Additional 30% armor bonus, 30% defense bonus, 1.15x experience multiplier and 1.15x loot multiplier.
![]()
Berserker: Attacks 20% faster and 50% bonus retarget chance.
![]()
Invokers: Additional 20% attack chance bonus.
![]()
Phantom: Different shader and 15% movement speed bonus.
Legendary is both rarity and type so it's bonuses are lisetd in rarity section.
Rarity & type combination - how it works and general conclusions about elite monsters
Multipliers are multiplicative. For example, a common juggernaut variant elite creature has 1.3 * 1.5 health = 195% of common monster HP.
In table below you can check all the possible variants and their outcome:
Conclusions:
- If you want to boost your EXP then killing elites is a good option (check if you have turned on spawning them in settings and use boosted spawning elite monsters event, it's "hidden" bonus exp event also)
- If you want to loot some specific rare which drops very rarely then check bestiary, probably killing elites and legendaries will make the process quicker (but also probably more expensive).
- If the only thing you care is to make the biggest profit from your hunt then turn off spawning elite monsters unless there's some specific item which drops only from higher rarity monsters, especially legendaries, which you want to drop.
- If you might have problems with monsters strength at the spawn then you can also consider turning off elite monsters spawning.
Tokens & Boosters
Elite creatures drop tokens that can be exchanged with NPCs from the Huntsman Guild, such as Radek in Eschen, for Elite Boosters.
Here is Leonard's exchange offer: |
