:Elder wizards know of strange dwarven magic that imbues minerals with a special properties. This is how runes of power works; they use it to improve the quality of metal in order to make it more durable. But some sinister forces found other uses of this powerful rune. They imbue sacrificial stones in order to link them directly with the realm of the demons. The power created after taking a life travels towards their masters making them stronger with each death. | :Elder wizards know of strange dwarven magic that imbues minerals with a special properties. :The Sir Jonas Warriors is a guild founded with the goal to protect the innocent and fight off evil forces. We do not use magic, but we don't forbid others from doing so. All we care about is protecting the lands of Medivia. We are few - for to become one of us, one needs to prove himself worthy in the eyes of the King and people of our land. His name must be known in all corners of our realm, and when it is, then the time is right to join us. | :The Sir Jonas Warriors is a guild founded with the goal to protect the innocent and fight off evil forces. :The city of elves is well known for its magical waters that restore strength and heal all wounds, but what is the nature of this water, and why is it only present in Lucindel? The scholars don't know for certain. The cause could be some great source of power, possibly an artifact buried in the depths of the earth. We cannot know for sure since the Elves would never dare taint mother nature by digging mines as the dwarves do. The archini believe that the actual cause of that healing property is the great river of mana itself. In fact, they say the city is built on top of the very source of the magical stream. | :The city of elves is well known for its magical waters that restore strength and heal all wounds, but what is the nature of this water, and why is it only present in Lucindel? :The great Eschenian builders of old knew very well that the walls of the city had to be built to withstand all manner of threats and attacks. During the years of brutal fighting in the first minotaur war, the minotaur kingdom and its people were pushed to the brink of extinction. They simply could not match the human Eschenians' superior defenses and weaponry, so in their great desperation to survive they fled and hid below the land of Eschen in order to rebuild their kingdom. The stories speak of an artifact that casts light all over their underground city as they prepare for the final war. | :The great Eschenian builders of old knew very well that the walls of the city had to be built to withstand all manner of threats and attacks. :While Eschen made war with the minotaurs, the dwarves of Mittenhof and the one eyed giants, the folk of Arak clashed against one awful and fearsome enemy - orckind. The conflict continues even to this day, and neither side seems to be letting up. The orcs have worked hard to establish their base, claiming a piece of land abundant with water and wildlife and using stone to fortify their kingdom against enemy attacks. They kept a vigilant watch over their fortress and guarded their lands, as well as regularly sending guard patrols to archer over ours. Then, several years ago, the orcs stopped leaving their castle, a change apparently due to the splitting of the orc clan into two parts, which they deemed a bigger threat to their kind than their human enemies. | :While Eschen made war with the minotaurs, the dwarves of Mittenhof and the one eyed giants, the folk of Arak clashed against one awful and fearsome enemy - orckind. :Their ruler is just. But their faith is corrupt and full of lies. They grow in number, perhaps soon they will try to control the King himself. We have sent our spies and discovered they are doing the unspeakable, burning people as they did thousands of years ago. Hopefully, the people will rebel and destroy them once and for all. It's important for us to aid them in this, we mustn't risk losing control in the region. The so called "heretics" are hiding south of Arak. Orcs have speech and are capable to learn other humanoids language quite well ... if they want, what almost never is the case. They lack a written language though. Some of the more educated orcs use human letters to write down orcish texts. Its rumored that the orcs we encounter now and then are just barbarians of their own kind and that there is a more 'civilized' orcish culture somewhere. There are some clues that the orcs indeed had a written language, but the modern orcs is unable to read it as we are.

:Its said that in ancient times, the gods created a great vortex to allow the souls of spirits from 'beyond' enter the realm of Medivia. Through this vortexportal many great heroes were able to manifest themselves on Medivia. In their new bodys they fought againt the forces of destruction. But also agents of destruction and evil entered the world through this portal. More and more the dark forces used the portal to spread over Medivia and to annoy, disrupt and subvert the brave people of the world. Some of the evil spirits remained long enough in this world to wreak even more havoc on the good people of Medivia. Destruction of all that others had built, slaying of new manifested souls as soon as they left the vortex. | :Its said that in ancient times, the gods created a great vortex to allow the souls of spirits from 'beyond' enter the realm of Medivia. :I made right decision about leaving Osaris. I was thinking it is a wealthy and lovely town until I had a chance to take a look at Yehsha. It's walls are taller than any of Midland Castles, and it's towers are overlooking half of this little continent. But what really made me stand in a middle of the city with my mouth opened, was it's people. They are all like a big family. They all believe in Rashed stronger than anyone from Osaris and they reject Elyons. This is not a place for people like me. I do not pray to their god, they see me as some kind of danger, but they don't want to show it. Current King, called here the Pharaoh is like a second God here. They listen to him as to the voice of their creator. And their army... numerous, powerful and loyal. None of Midland forces can match this strenght. We should be happy that Yehsha is surrounded by deserts, because otherwise they would have conquered our lands long time ago. | :I made right decision about leaving Osaris. Books are the cornerstone of the mysteries in Medivia. Not only do they have information on the mysteries yet undiscovered, they were also the birthplace of many quests. Most books can be found inside libraries although some can be found random places.
This list includes only the books that are currently spawning in-game on a daily basis.

The heroic powers were just about to seal the defeat of the darkness by steel and mana power but the wars had persisted for too a long time. The world was fragile, the boundaries between the worlds cracked by the enormous powers, which had been employed. Already the armies of the older races were readying themselves to recapture from the humans what the old ones regarded as theirs. Already the children of the darkness, hardly troubled by the undead, risen again to new powers, were waiting to spread chaos over the world. Already the dragons sharpened their talons on their rock, in order to rise again into air to devastate the world in a fiery nightmare. Already the victorious armies of humans threw possessive looks on new targets. Already the daemons hammered on the walls of their breakable prison.
| "Medivia's Renewal BOOK TWO" | Novus Library | ||||
There the Gods on both sides stopped. They looked down upon the desintegrating world, and they decided an armistice, because they all wanted power over the creation, not its complete destruction. Thus the Gods threw the charm of the new beginning over the world! Only gradually the recovering sections of the old world started to rise from the nebulas of time, awakened the old races and old frights back to life. It is said that the city of Medivia was the first to rise again, barren of almost all life, without all magic, on a tiny island, deserted and almost devoid of life ... and nevertheless full of age-old secrets. And soon afterwards life returned to the world. Also via the portal of souls old and new heroes found their way to Medivia. Gradually larger sections of the old world emerged from the nebulas, further natures and miracles. But the world is still far from its former splendour and size, and we live in times of change. What today is still natural, may as soon as tomorrow be only a legend, what today is still fantasy, may already tomorrow be reality. But hear ye and listen: Bad spirits also arrived and still arrive by the portal in our realm, in order to do mischief in human shape. Thus one has to face many dangers, and often the world appears to be cruel and hostile.

| "Dear diary, today I have seen the great white dragon" | Abukir Library | |
Today I have seen the great white dragon flying around again. I am honestly starting to question my mind but it looked so real. It flew over the waters and headed back to the north west. I am sure it is up to no evil as long as we do not offend it. That is, if it actually exists...
| "Ancient notebook II" | Abukir Library | |
The new soldiers arrived. Sadly, the thaian kingdom could not afford to send too many men as they are still struggling to keep the new city Venore, far to the east of Thais, under control. I do not understand why they would try to build a city within the swamp surrounded by dragons and protected by the elves. After all, we have 11 new workers and 7 new knights and more then enough materials to keep building houses.
| "Ancient notebook IV" | Abukir Library | |
After weeks of exploring we are finally back in Abukir. Darama, that is what the towns people call it now, is way bigger than any of us have dreamed it to be. We climbed over the mountain Kha'zeel. On the other side there is a huge desert. Our group split up. I joined the men heading north. After a few days of walking in the desert we had to climb another mountain range behind which we found a suiting place for a second retreat.
| "Ancient notebook VI" | Abukir Library | |
Last week the thaian kingdom sent another three ships. One was filled with materials and the other two were filled with workers and soldiers. From what I heard the situation near Venore has settled and the king wants to focus on colonizing every part of Darama now. The new arriver's immediately started heading north as they passed a smaller island right in front of Abukir on which the king wants a village as a control point.
| "Nizam's second journal" | Abukir Library | |
Some of the plagues seemed to have stopped for no apparent reason. The illness that took Jolie hasn't been killing in weeks now, the tar clouds haven't returned, the mountains to the east stopped moving and there have not been any more earthquakes. Nevertheless, our corn is still burning down as soon as we try to grow it and we are running out of seeds. The thunderstorms also don't seem to stop. For now surviving is possible and the mood among my people is getting better. Maybe we cannot escape this continent but we will try our best to survive it. I hope Faris is alright. I finished his secret hiding room, just the way he wanted it. I miss him.
| "The tar took Habu" | Abukir Library | |
I don't know what's gotten into him. I was taking a walk with him and must have seen some sort of golden book in the tar. He tried to show me where in the tar it was, but I couldn't find it. His curiosity grew and he decided to get the book out of the tar. I warned him. I told him not to. He wouldn't listen. He stepped on the tar and after only 2 steps the tar started giving in, locking his feet in. He started panicking. Slowly, he drowned into the hot tar. I could not do anything for him. I screamed for help but it was too late...
| "Patus' Diary" | Abukir Library | |
The priests daughter seems to be ill. People believe the death plague is back but I'm sure it's nothing that serious. She has a fever and parts of her skin turned grey. I suspect she accidently ate some tar. I'm not sure how to treat her condition. Patus, the towns healer
| "Storybooks of the prehistoric times part 1 cities" | Abukir Library | |
A long, long time ago, when the continent of Darama was not discovered yet, the people of the earth all lived on the main land and it's surrounding islands. The main city was called Thais. Other big cities were Venore, the city surrounded by swamp, Carlin, the city ruled by women, Ab'dendriel, the elves city, Mittenhoff, the dwarven city and Garrogat, a city located on an island north east of Venore.
| "Nizam's First Journal" | Abukir Library | |
What happened to this city? Why do the great ones hate us? My beloved Jolie finally passed away. Death took her after weeks of suffering through the pain. I've never seen anything like it. I am sure it's the seventh plague that took her from us. Is there more coming? I fear my people cannot survive much longer. We ran out of wood for new ships but there is no point in building one anyway. The storm will drown them all. Our food supplies are still sufficient for now. We managed to catch some lions and hyaenas. The towns butcher wants to breed them as they can survive of just the plants we are still able to grow. Other than that, we only have fish from the small bay left. All of our corn burned away during the last nights. A group of men decided to search for the parts of the city the tar took. I tried to warn them but they wouldn't listen. I am sure they are all dead by now. We won't survive much longer if this doesn't stop.
