This article may contain quest spoiling information! Mission 1 - Finding Ziyad WARNING: The first mission you have to fight a Slave Hunter and Slave Guard. They are dangerous at low levels. It is advisable to do this mission from level 40+. First you have to find Ziyad, he is randomly in one of the following areas: Location 1 SHOW MAP Location 2 SHOW MAP Location 3 SHOW MAP Mission 2 - Pair of Shakirian Sandals Speak to Ziyad and tell him ‘mission’. He doesn’t trust strangers and wants you to prove yourself with three tasks. First, get him a pair of Shakirian Sandals from the Slave Hunters and Slave Guards camp northwest of Yehsha. Follow the directions, find the sandals, then bring them back to Ziyad. Conversation with Ziyad & Questlog Update Player: hi Ziyad: Ah, welcome!. Player: mission Ziyad: Hm.. Eh.. I am not very fond of outsiders. You grassland people betrayed and stole from me multiple times. I'm trading highly valuable items... Ziyad: But you know.. everyone deserves to get a chance, and so do you. You seem like an eager person that wants to do a lot of trading with me. That's not strange, there are not many traders out there other than me... Ziyad: Very well, let's do it like this, if you agree to do three quests for me, then with every quest you complete you will be able to trade more valuable items. Do you want to do these quests? Player: yes Ziyad: Okay then. I travel a lot you see, I'd like to get my hands on these Shakirian Sandals. My feet are sore from these regular ones.. Get me a pair of these Shakirian sandals, you should be able to find them at their outpost on the Rahlaya mountains. Scout Ziyad told me that he doesn't trust foreigners. He asked me to find him Shakirian Sandals. He mentioned that they could be found somewhere in the Shakirian camp in the Rahlaya mountains. After completing the first task, return to Ziyad and tell him ‘mission’. He’ll reward you by letting you trade items worth up to 1,000 gp. Conversation with Ziyad & Questlog Update Player: hi Ziyad: Ah, welcome!. Player: mission Ziyad: You actually managed to get a pair of these Shakirian Sandals? Player: yes Ziyad: Amazing! This is wonderful, I am starting to like you already. Hm.. ok then.. I will let you trade items with me up to 1000 gold coins. Let me know if you are ready for the two remaining quests I have for you. Don't think I forgot about them! Scout I returned happily with the shakirian sandals and can now trade some items with Ziyad. Mission 3 - Retrieve valuable bag NOTE: Make sure you have got enough capacity to carry it. Backpack of Goods, It weighs 40.0 oz. NOTE: Follow the screenshots, but do not skip pulling the lever, unless it is already opened, else a stone will be blocking the stairs and you cannot go down. Speak to Ziyad again and tell him ‘mission’. This time Ziyad will ask you to retrieve a valuable bag he dropped being chased by Minotaurs. You can find the Minotaur camp east of Osaris. Conversation with Ziyad & Questlog Update Player: hi Ziyad: Ah, welcome!. Player: mission Ziyad: I have to admit it, you've actually put yourself in a lot of danger for me. I didn't think you would get me these sandals... Ziyad: You've done me a great favour. Now.. your second quest is not as dangerous. However, it will tell me whether I can trust you or not... Ziyad: So, these nasty minotaurs that live north east of my house, stole my backpack from me the other day. I was walking from my house towards Osaris and there they were, at least 15 of them... Ziyad: I ran as fast as possible, but I had to drop my backpack of goods. They were catching up on me and it was way too heavy. I should be lucky that the archers didn't kill me... Ziyad: These lucky bastards. I lost a lot of gold, items and papers. I would do this myself but I am not a fighter. Please find me this bag of goods and return it to me. I am sure it is still there! Please go now. Scout For my second quest I have to find a backpack of goods north east of Ziyads house. After completing the second task, return to Ziyad and tell him ‘mission’. He’ll reward you by letting you trade items worth up to 8,000 gp. Conversation with Ziyad & Questlog Update Player: hi Ziyad: Ah, welcome!. Player: mission Ziyad: You found my backpack of goods? Player: yes Ziyad: No way.. My backpack! I have no words for my graditude. Thank you so much! You've gained a lot of trust by doing this, you could have also kept it for yourself. Let me see.. I don't fully trust you yet.. but.. alright, i'll trade items worth up to 8000 gold coins with you now. You can talk to me again, if you would like to do the last quest. Scout I've earned a lot of trust for finding the backpack of goods. I can trade a lot more items with him now. Mission 4 - Agreement Stable Master Speak to Ziyad again and tell him ‘mission’. This time, you need to convince the stable master in Osaris, Akil, to let Ziyad keep his camel there again. So look for Akil and sort out the rent issue. Conversation with Ziyad & Questlog Update Player: hi Ziyad: Ah, welcome!. Player: mission Ziyad: One last quest, people in Yehsha are fine with me. It is a big city, so I don't stand out that much. But in Osaris people do not really like me. They think I am strange. I honestly think it is because I do not obey Caliph Khanrad... Ziyad: My camel Olly is very old and needs to be taken care of, while I am in one of the two cities trading. In Yehsha they can take care of Olly but in Osaris this stubborn little stablemaster won't allow me to place him there anymore. We had rent issues in the past.. Right now I leave Olly at home, he has water and food but I am still worried something might happen to him while I am away... Ziyad: Please player, talk to Akil and try to convince him. Tell him that I am sorry for what I said to him. I already tried to change his mind but he won't accept my apologies. Scout Ziyad wants me to convince Akil in Osaris now as last quest. The only stablemaster in Osaris, I believe. Speak to Akil and tell him the following keywords: ‘Ziyad’, ‘mission’ and ‘apologize’. He will then demand that you pay him 5000 gold coins to compensate for the rent that Ziyad owes him. Conversation with Akil & Questlog Update Player: hi Akil: Hello, player. Player: Ziyad Akil: He is a very stingy man and I see him in Osaris often trading his money for goods... Akil: He does not really care about the community we have in Osaris.. Out of curiosity, why did he send you? Player: mission Akil: He doesn't trust you, because you are a foreigner and therefore gave you quests to complete? That sounds rediculous! The only reason why I won't talk to him anymore is because he has been rude to me in the past. He tried to cut down on the rent that I offered him for his camel... Akil: I did not give in and refused his offers multiple times. He then he simply walked away and didn't pay anything anymore at all. He still owes me 2000 gold coins. What exactly does he want? Player: apologize Akil: Hmm.. I don't know. He stole from me, but I can't keep a grudge to him my whole life. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. However we will have to come to an agreement first. It is related to money so make sure you have some with you. Scout Akil wants to set an agreement with him, it will cost me a certain amount of gold coins. Speak to Akil again once you have the 5000 gold coins. Tell him ‘mission’ and then confirm by saying ‘yes’. Conversation with Akil & Questlog Update Player: hi Akil: Hello, player. Player: Ziyad Akil: Right, the option is very practical. I want my 2000 gold coins back, and on top of that get an advance in payment for the stable rent. You never know what he is up to. So that is 1000 gold coins per month.. hmm.. 3 months should be enough. That sounds pretty reasonable to me. If that is too much to ask for, then he should look for a different stable. Will you pay me 5000 gold coins? Player: yes Akil: Great! I forgive him for his deeds. You can tell him that he can place his camel in my stables any time. Thank you. Scout Ziyad will be happy with the agreement, I should hurry back. Return to Ziyad speak with him and tell him ‘mission’, and then confirm by saying ‘yes’. He will be delighted to hear the news. You have now earned the trust of Ziyad and can now fully trade with him. He will also give you 2500 gold coins and a Camel Trophy. Conversation with Ziyad & Questlog Update Player: hi Ziyad: Ah, welcome!. Player: mission Ziyad: So you had to pay 5000 gold coins? Fair enough. I didn't think he would forgive me at all, that is great news! At least I can have a safe place for my camel now! That means a lot to me. You've completed 3 quests now. What do you think, should I trust you now? Player: yes Ziyad: Of course I trust you! Haha! Here take half of the money back that you had to pay out of your own pocket, and a little reward as sign of my Scout I have told Ziyad about the agreement with Akil. He is very grateful and fully trusts me now. I can trade every item with him, that he is interested in now.
