Blessings can be obtained by any player and reduces how much of your total experience, magic level and skill points you will lose when you die.

  • The first 5 blessings price is:

price = (level ^ 2) * 0.20 + 4000

Prices are rounded down to the nearest hundred. For example, 14,433 gold coins will be rounded down to 14,400 gold coins.

There are 6 different blessings:
The Grace of Light, southeast of Eschen (here Map icon).

The Swiftness of Lightning, southeast of Thoris (here Map icon).

The Clarity of Mind, west of Lucindel (here Map icon).

The Wisdom of Solitude, on Nordag's Island (here Map icon).

The Warmth of Volcano, inside Mittenhoff (here Map icon).

Blessing of the Goddess* (only obtainable from the White Lady upon completion of the White Light Faction).

A character normally loses 2.5% of their total experience and skill points upon death. Each blessing and Promotion decreases that by a further 0.3%, the first promotion and the 5 regular blessings will reduce your experience loss to 0.7%. The Blessing of the Goddess will reduce it by another 0.3%, and the second promotion obtained upon completion of the Demonic Faction by yet another 0.3%. This means that a character with all 6 blessings and both promotions will only lose 0.1% of their total experience and skill points upon death.

Blessing Guide: The Cost of a Magic Level

When is the best time to buy blessings?

Blessings reduce the amount of skills lost by 1.5%. Mostskills and experience are obtained simply by being logged in and training/ hunting/ eating food. You have to determine how much your time is worth, and if the time spent regaining that xp is worth more than the 50k spent on blessings. There are a few benchmarks that can be used in order to aid in this decision.

Magic level

One of the hardest hits you can take after a death is to your magic level. But when do blessing become more profitable in avoiding that 1.5% than usingconsumables to gain that mana back? The following chart shows how much mana you will lose after a death (1.5% of your current used amount), and the cost of life rings (LR), rings of healing (RoH), and mana fluids (MF) in order to get that mana back.

Notes:

          • NEED TO REVIEW BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT UPDATE
  1. Regen rates for both rings are based off Legacy (2x). Costs for ring regen will be slightly higher on 1x servers. Mana fluid cost will be the same on all servers.
  2. All mana rates assume a promoted character.
  3. All costs are based off of NPC prices.
  4. All ring regeneration rates assumeyou are regening with food as well. All mana fluid regen rates do not include mana regen from food.

Additional things to consider

You are balancing cost with time when making this decision. Life rings may be cheaper than mana fluids, but they take 20 minutes per ring! You have to know how valuable your time is to you.

Once the cost of materials exceeds the 50k cost of blessings, it might be safe to buy blessings. However, the cost of these materials can be drastically reduced by selling burst arrows or runes afterward.

The cutoff for when buying blessing is cheaper than getting it back are:

For mage and druid magic level 51 when regaining mana with mana fluids, magic level 54 when regaining mana with rings of healing and magic level 59 when regaining mana with life rings.

For archer magic level 19 when regaining mana with mana fluids or rings of healing and magic level 21 when regaining mana with life rings.

For knight magic level 8 when regaining mana with mana fluids, rings of healing or life rings.
