This article may contain quest spoiling information! Mission 1 - Joining the Faction First, head to the Osaris Palace and greet Caliph Khanrad by saying ‘hi’ and then ask him if you can ‘join’ the faction. SHOW MAP Say ‘yes’ when he asks for confirmation. He will then mention that Halfadir in the Osaris Temple needs your help with a task. Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: join Caliph Khanrad: You wish to serve the sole caliph of Osaris? I can always use capable helpers around here. Player: yes Caliph Khanrad: I thank you. I do not have anything special for you to do right now but I need something delivered... Caliph Khanrad: Or well, Halfadir, the town's priest needs something delivered. He has been bugging me for quite some time now but I was too busy... Caliph Khanrad: Please visit him and do whatever he needs done. Scout The Caliph of Osaris allowed you to work for him. He wants you to visit Halfadir for work. Mission 2 - Retrieve Halfadir’s Lost Ring Now head over to Halfadir. Say ‘hi’ and ask him about a ‘mission’. You’ll find him in the Temple of Osaris. SHOW MAP He will ask you to retrieve a ring that Sabri in the Yehsha temple had borrowed from him (you can get to the temple via a raft north of the little island on which the temple sits). Conversation with Halfadir & Questlog Update Player: hi Halfadir: Elyons bless you, Player. Player: mission Halfadir: Finally the caliph sent someone over to help me. I need you to visit Sabri in Yehsha. I borrowed him a ring of mine... Halfadir: He said he would help us figure out the reason why the scarabs are spreading much quicker than usual. I can only assume that he forgot to bring it back to me... Halfadir: Please go and talk to him. The ring I gave him creates a bright light around the carrier. You should easily identify it. Scout Halfadir of Osaris wants you to travel to Yehsha and find Sabri who still has a ring from Halfadir. Mission 3 - The Larva Purge When you reach Yehsha, head north of the Yehsha temple, right click Kilmen and take the raft heading south and look for Sabri. SHOW MAP Once you find Sabri, say ‘hi’ and ask him for a ‘mission’. Sabri will let you know that he lost the ring but if you could kill 400 Larvae  it should be alright because that's why he had borrowed the ring to begin with. Note: High-level players are advised to complete the alternative 400 Giant Larva instead. Now kill 400 Larvae, here are some good spawns you can do the task in: Yehsha Larva Caves Osaris Larva Caves Conversation with Sabri & Questlog Update Player: hi Sabri: Welcome, Player. Player: mission Sabri: I no longer have Halfadir's ring. You might not believe me but the ring vanished when I used it... Sabri: I went into one of the scarab caves in the desert to figure out what changed their behaviour. I was not deep inside yet when the ring suddenly disappeared and I was in the dark surrounded by larvas... Sabri: I barely made it out alive and saw very little reason to travel to Halfadir just to tell him his ring was gone... Sabri: Let's say you kill 400 larvas. That should be more than enough to stop their spreading for a while. Would you mind doing this for me, I would be in your debt? Player: yes Sabri: Great! Come back to me when you are done. I will reward you properly. Scout Sabri of Yehsha asked you to kill 400 Larvas. After killing 400 Larvae speak with Sabri again and tell him about the ‘mission’ to receive a reward of 100,000 Experience points. Conversation with Sabri & Questlog Update Player: hi Sabri: Welcome, Player. Player: mission Sabri: Thank you for your services. Please tell Halfadir that the ring is gone but at least we dealt with the larvae problem. Scout You killed 400 Larvas for Sabri. He asked you to tell Halfadir about it. Now head back to Halfadir in Osaris to report about the ring and larvae. Speak with him and say ‘mission’. SHOW MAP He will say he is glad the Larvae problem is sorted out, but he wants you to meet with Caliph Khanrad again to handle the ongoing scarab problem. Conversation with Halfadir & Questlog Update Player: hi Halfadir: Elyons bless you, Player. Player: mission Halfadir: This fool actually managed to lose my ring?! I knew I shouldn't have given it to him... Halfadir: But you took care of the larva you say? You killed how many? 400?! That is incredible! ... Halfadir: I suppose that makes up for my lost ring. I hope Sabri at least paid you for that. Nevertheless, the scarabs are still a problem. You should meet with the Caliph again, maybe he has an idea regarding the scarabs. Scout After having told Halfadir about the Larva issue he asked you to seek out the Caliph again. Mission 4 - Fireballs for the city Speak with Caliph Khanrad and ask him for a ‘mission’. SHOW MAP He will ask you to bring 50 Fireball runes to Bedhin to divide them among the citizens of Osaris. SHOW MAP Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: Welcome back, player. I was told about your actions against the larvae already. Thank you for that... Caliph Khanrad: As you might have been told the scarabs have indeed grown to be a problem for us. Now that you have taken care of a large amount of their larvae we should take care of the larger ones before they start laying more larva eggs... Caliph Khanrad: The most effective way of killing scarabs is to burn them with fire. Right now our city is fairly safe from them but I would like to give every citizen a way to defend themselves... Caliph Khanrad: Around 50 fireball runes should be enough. Most of our people know a thing or two about magic so they will make good use of them... Caliph Khanrad: Go and gather those runes and bring them to Bedhin. He will ensure that they are properly shared among our people. Scout The Caliph asked you to bring 50 fireball runes to Bedhin in Osaris to protect the citizen against the Scarabs. Now get 50 Fireball runes. It doesn’t matter if you use daily runes, buy them, or make them yourself - they all count. Once you have get the runes, go to Bedhin, say ‘hi’ and ask him a ‘mission’. SHOW MAP He will ask you for the runes, reply ‘yes’ as confirmation that you have them. The runes will be taken and he will be informing the Caliph about it. Return to Caliph Khanrad for the next mission. Conversation with Caliph Bedhin & Questlog Update Player: hi Bedhin: Good sun for you Player, welcome. Player: mission Bedhin: Did you bring me the 50 fireball runes as the caliph ordered you? Player: yes Bedhin: Those will do nicely. I will make sure to inform the Caliph of your help. Scout You brought Bedhin all the fireball runes he needed. Mission 5 - Attack on the Scarabs Speak with Caliph Khanrad and ask him about the next ‘mission’.SHOW MAP He wants you to go out and kill 500 Scarabs to help control their spread. Say ‘yes’ when he asks if you are up for the task. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: Welcome back, Player. Bedhin reported back to me already. I was told he compensated you properly. I hope that is true... Caliph Khanrad: Anyways, now that our people are armed we should proceed with our attacks on the scarabs themselves... Caliph Khanrad: It is the only way to ensure a limited spread of them. Go out there and hunt them down yourself. I will have other warriors do the same thing... Caliph Khanrad: Together we can kill enough of them. Come back to me once you kill 500 scarabs. Are you willing to do this for the caliph, Player? Player: yes Caliph Khanrad: I welcome your decision. Come back when you are done. Scout The Caliph has asked you to hunt down 500 Scarabs. Once you have killed 500 Scarabs return to Caliph Khanrad to complete the quest. Speak with him and say ‘mission’. SHOW MAP He will tell you that the scarab problem is for now under control, and will reward you with 300,000 Experience Points. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: The scarab problem is solved for now indeed. Thanks to your help and the help of many others we diminished their numbers to a healthy amount. Scout You finished the Scarab task for the Caliph. Mission 6 - The Peace Agreement For this mission you will need some items. So prepare them in advance. Requirements: 5 Scarab Coins 1 Crystal Coin (10k) 1 Yellow Gem Speak to Caliph Khanrad and ask him about a ‘mission’. SHOW MAP Next, he wants you to meet with Pharaoh Anhamtap to speak about possible action towards slave hunters. He is located in Yehsha. SHOW MAP Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: My exterminator returns - and I have news for you. While you were gone, the outlaws living in the desert, started becoming more and more reckless... Caliph Khanrad: They have gathered their weapons and started to enslave poor travelers and caravan masters. I reckon that their path is not quite what I and others consider as peaceful... Caliph Khanrad: The Pharaoh does not want any bigger conflict without his acceptance, and I shall not start a war without his support... Caliph Khanrad: Please go and visit him in my name. Convince him that we have to take actions against the slavehunters. There is no point to reason with outlaws... Caliph Khanrad: I am sure he will understand. He would not want our men to die for no reason. Scout Khanrad has asked you to seek out Pharaoh Anhamtap in Yehsha and talk to him about the possible war against the outlaws. Speak to the Pharaoh Anhamtap and say ‘mission’, he'll send you back to Caliph Khanrad. SHOW MAP Conversation with Pharaoh Anhamtap & Questlog Update Player: hi Pharaoh Anhamtap: May Rashed bless you. Player: mission Pharaoh Anhamtap: Khanrad sent you? I see... so the outlaws have finally started slaying the innocent. Let me think... Pharaoh Anhamtap: Hm... Pharaoh Anhamtap: Yes... Those actions are indeed unacceptable... However, we will have to be smart about this. I can no longer risk wars between the humans or any other races... Pharaoh Anhamtap: We have far more urgent problems right now and a war against the outlaws could cost us many men... Pharaoh Anhamtap: Yet, we might lose just as many by ignoring this threat. Let Khanrad know that he has my support on whatever he decides on doing. I want you to emphasize that a solution without bloodshed would be best. Scout Pharaoh told you to let the Caliph decide but he requested a bloodshed free solution if possible. Return to the the Caliph Khanrad. Say ‘mission’ and then Caliph Khanrad will tell you to seek out an outlaw to make peace. So the Pharaoh allows me to decide on my own. My initial plan was to immediately attack them but since the Pharaoh seems to prefer a more peaceful approach, I have a job for you... Caliph Khanrad: Go out and find a more reasonable outlaw. I am sure not all of them are bloodthirsty barbarians. Try to reason with them and offer them peace. If that does not work try to find out where their main hideout is located... Caliph Khanrad: So far we still have no idea where they are coming from. Return to me as soon as possible once you have news. Scout The Caliph honored the Pharaoh's request for a peaceful approach and sent you out to search for a reasonable outlaw. He wants you to talk to him about a peace agreement. Head to Shaish located far to the south east of Osaris and speak to him about a ‘peace’ agreement. SHOW MAP Shaish will tell you that there will be no peace and that he didn't even know there was a war going on. All he is interested in is money and treasures. If you bring him: 5 Scarab Coins 1 Crystal Coin (10k) 1 Yellow Gem Only then he will take you to Shakir on his raft. Conversation with Shaish & Questlog Update Player: hi Shaish: What do you want? Player: peace Shaish: Phahaha, your little caliph wants to make peace? We were not even aware that there is a war. Phahaha... Shaish: Listen to me you fool. Your beloved Osaris does not stand a chance against us and even if you did I could care less. All I care for is gold. I work for whoever is paying best... Shaish: Sand right now the Shakirian prayers are paying best. Now, I can assure you that there is no way to solve this without fighting. But I can make you an offer. I can bring you and your fighters to Shakir... Shaish: All I ask for is 5 scarab coins, a crystal coin and a yellow gem and I am all yours. If we have a deal come back with everything I asked for. Scout You managed to find a reasonable outlaw named Shaish. He explained that peace will not be an option but offered you a passage to Shakir if you bring him 5 Scarab Coins, 1 Yellow Gem and 1 Crystal Coin. Say ‘deal’ and hand over 5 Scarab Coins, 1 Yellow Gem and 1 Crystal Coin and Shaish will ask you not to tell anyone of your deal. Shaish will now take you to Shakir whenever you ask, free of charge. Conversation with Shaish & Questlog Update Player: hi Shaish: What do you want? Player: peace Shaish: So do we have a deal? Got everything with you? Player: yes Shaish: It has been a pleasure. Just let me know when you want me to take you to Shakir and don't you dare tell anyone about my wrongdoings. Scout You gained access to Shakir. Mission 7 - Slave Hunters Return to Caliph Khanrad and ask for a ‘mission’. SHOW MAP Now that you can access Shakir, he wants you to get into their hideout and orders you to kill 450 Slave Hunters. Now kill 450 Slave Hunters, here are some good spawns you can do the task in: Shakir - You can access this island by talking to Shaish he can freely take you to Shakir. Yehsha Slave Encampment Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: You managed to bribe a Shakirian guard to bring you to their main hideout? That is excellent news, Player... Caliph Khanrad: I am afraid we have tried everything now. It is time to attack. We cannot allow any more casualties because of them... Caliph Khanrad: I have already sent my soldiers to fight on our fronts. You have access to Shakir. You should start fighting them there. Can you do that for your caliph? Player: yes Caliph Khanrad: Start with their hunters. My soldiers report that they are powerful archers. Slaying 450 of them should send them a clear message. Scout The time for peace is over. The Caliph has asked you to kill 450 Slave Hunters. Once you've killed 450 Slave Hunters, return to Caliph Khanrad. Say ‘mission’ and then he will reward you with 250,000 Experience Points. Great job. Scout You killed 450 Slave Hunters and returned to the Caliph. Mission 8 - Slave Guards Speak with Caliph Khanrad and ask for a ‘mission’ and say ‘yes’ once he asks you if you are up for the task to confirm. SHOW MAP This time Caliph Khanrad will ask you to keep pressuring the outlaws by hunting down 300 Slave Guards. Player: yes Caliph Khanrad: Slaughtering 300 more of the guards should be enough to force them into submission. Scout Khanrad wants you to keep pressuring the outlaws by hunting down 300 Slave Guards in his name. Once you've killed 300 Slave Guards, return to Caliph Khanrad. Say ‘mission’ and then he will reward you with 700,000 Experience Points. Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: Good, take this for your services. We have to talk about your next mission immediatly. Scout You murdered 300 Slave Guards and returned to Khanrad. Mission 9 - Negotiations Speak with Caliph Khanrad and ask for a ‘mission’. SHOW MAP He will let you know that your work has been making a difference. The outlaws have no longer been able to make any attacks and Caliph Khanrad will ask you to find the outlaw leader Honou and negotiate peace so that no more blood is spilled. SHOW MAP Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: Player, the outlaws are almost beaten. The attacks on the innocent stopped and right now all the outlaws are accomplishing is survival... Caliph Khanrad: We have two options. Either we wipe them out entirely now or we try to reason with them once more. Now that the war is lost for them they might be less foolish... Caliph Khanrad: I want you to travel to Shakir. While interrogating one of the slave hunters we received crucial information about their leader... Caliph Khanrad: His name is Honou and he seems to be hinding below the city of Shakir somewhere. The hunter did not reveal any more information other then that... Caliph Khanrad: You have to find this Honou and convince him to settle a peace agreement. Should he not agree we have no other option but to eliminate each and every one of them. Scout The Caliph has asked you to search for the outlaw leader Honou who seems to hide on the island Shakir. He wants you to offer him peace. BE CAREFUL WHEN SAYING "HI" TO HONOU . He will summon 3 Slave Guards, 2 Shakirian Prayers and 3 Slave Hunters when you do. BE CAREFUL AT END OF DIALOGUE . At the end of Honous dialogue he will summon another 4 Slave Guards. WARNING: Do NOT say hi to Honou for a third time, he will summon even more powerful guards and hit you 10x250 with energy and it is unnecessary!!! Once you find Honou and are prepared, say ‘hi’ and ask for ‘peace’. Honou is however not very interested in peace. He claims he's winning anyway because others serve false gods. You want to haggle a peace agreement? Is this supposed to be a joke? ... Honou: Why would I want peace if everything is going my way? You poor soul. I never planned on starting a war... Honou: Don't you see? Whether you kill my fellow men down or not, I win either way. My men might not win and the soldiers of Osaris most certainly do not... Honou: But my job here will be a success anyways. While everyone is praying to their ridiulous gods I serve the only true god of Medivia... Honou: Zathroth the destroyer! I caused havoc and Zathroth shall reward me in the eternal afterlife! ... Honou: And now to you, you silly fool. Go back to your pathetic caliph. I could not care less what you decide to do... Honou: Keep killing my men and Zathroth is pleased. Stop killing them and we shall keep making slaves and Zathroth wins... Honou: Be glad I allow you to leave alive. However, let this be your first and only warning to never enter my throneroom again! My men shall show you the way out, mhahaha! ... Scout You offered Honou peace but he let you in on his true plan. You better report back to the Caliph. You have completed the mission and can now report back to Caliph Khanrad. Mission 10 - Shakirian Prayers Speak with Caliph Khanrad and ask for the next ‘mission’. He decides on making one final attack on the outlaws and this time the target will be those that brainwashed Honou's men. The Shakirian Prayers. Kill 150 Shakirian Prayers. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: I see. So it is far worse than we thought... Caliph Khanrad: I fear that Honou might have been right. We have no other choice but to do as he wants us to do and hunt down his men... Caliph Khanrad: We need to have one final attack on them to make sure they will no longer bother anyone. Are you up for that? Player: yes Caliph Khanrad: I am glad for your unquestioned loyalty. Go after thes ones Honou is using to brainwash the other warriors. The prayers. Killing 150 of them should be enough to end this useless war. Scout After hearing about Honou's evil plan the Caliph wants you to kill 150 Shakirian Prayers. Once you've killed 150 Shakirian Prayers, return to Caliph Khanrad. Say ‘mission’ and then he will reward you with 900,000 Experience Points. Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: You return with a finished job. If you would not mind there is one last thing I would like you to do for me. Scout You killed the Shakirian Prayers for your Caliph and returned to him. Mission 11 - Slaying the leader Honou Speak with Caliph Khanrad and ask for a ‘mission’. SHOW MAP Caliph Khanrad wants you to find and kill Honou. SHOW MAP You can access Honou on the lowest floor of the Shakirian Tomb (go to the article to check how to get to the Tomb), in the big room to the south. To get to the room with Honou just use a lever. Remember that you can bring a friend which is recommended for this one as he's quite difficult. There are 2 spots which can be taken next to the lever, players on them will be teleported to final boss room. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: While the outlaws are no longer a threat to my people, the senseless bloodshed played right into Honou's hands and although we are save for now, I am afraid Honou might be right and the war lead to Zathroth gaining in power... Caliph Khanrad: I may not allow Honou to just live on working for his god. He is the reason for all these deaths and you have to execute him for me... Caliph Khanrad: I send any of my other soldiers. If word goes around that the war empowered Zathroth himself it could lead to a panic within the city... Caliph Khanrad: You on the other hand know about his doings already and can keep it to yourself. Please, go and find Honou and kill him in my name... Caliph Khanrad: My soldiers told me he escaped his throne room. I am sure he left the city and is hiding somewhere on that island. Will you do this final job for me? Player: yes Caliph Khanrad: Thank you. Scout The Caliph wants you to find and kill Honou. He seems to be hiding himself now. Once you've killed Honou, return to Caliph Khanrad. Say ‘mission’ and then he will reward you with 600,000 Experience Points. Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: Honou has fallen and everything thanks to you. Without you many, many more lives would have been lost. Talk to me about your advancement. Scout You found and killed Honou. Speak with Caliph Khanrad again and ask for a ‘advancement’ and you will be rewarded with a Royal Nomad Ring (required to complete the Imperial Faction). You can also say ‘hood’ and it will now let you know what you need for a Scout Outfit - Hood addon. An Archer's Essentials Quest Conversation with Caliph Khanrad & Questlog Update Player: hi Caliph Khanrad: Blessings, welcome to the land of Neph, Player. Player: mission Caliph Khanrad: Player, you have done more for our city than anyone can imagine. I hereby make you my right hand. Take this ring. It proves to everyone that you are my personal friend and adviser. Do not lose it! It can surely come in handy eventually! ... Caliph Khanrad: I will talk to my people to send Shaish some additional funds, so his services will expand to more locations. Free of charge for you, of course... Caliph Khanrad: I will send a word to nomadic brother, so they will treat you like our soldiers and will allow you to travel on the back of their camels... Caliph Khanrad: Furthermore, I can now help you craft a nice hood for your hunter outfit. You will have to bring me some materials but now that the war is over I have time for crafting again... Caliph Khanrad: Just talk to me about the hood if you are interested but make sure to carry a decent quiver first. Scout You have earned your promotion to the right hand of the Caliph.
