Swords are some of the most popular weapons. Swords are the most balanced weapons for attack and defense, having no severe drawbacks or great advantages in either area.<br/> The strongest sword that can be obtained on Novus is Poison Dagger dropped by Mutated Rat.
Swords are the most common weapon class used by Novus players, mostly due to the fact that there is a wide range of them available, and one of them is the most powerful melee weapon on Novus - the [[Fire Dagger]].<br/>A logical progression is getting a [[Katana]] (16 Atk), using it to farm [[Elf|Elves]] which have a small chance (1/800?) to drop a [[Longsword]] (17 Atk) and then using that to try to loot a [[Poison Dagger]] (18 Atk) from [[Mutated Rat]]s (1/2000+ chance). <br>Beyond that point, you may get lucky and [[Wrigg]] could spawn and you might loot a [[Rotsword]] (19 Atk), or you can keep working through the [[Novus Tasks]] to eventually obtain a [[Soul Dagger]] (20 Atk) and [[Fire Dagger]] (21 Atk).<br>You may even go on to attempt to [[Attributes|Enchant]] one of the higher tier weapons, but be warned that it may be very expensive to get even one attribute (be prepared to invest 500k or possibly more).

Swords are the most common weapon class used by Novus players, mostly due to the fact that there is a wide range of them available, and one of them is the most powerful melee weapon on Novus - the Fire Dagger.
A logical progression is getting a Katana (16 Atk), using it to farm Elves which have a small chance (1/800?) to drop a Longsword (17 Atk) and then using that to try to loot a Poison Dagger (18 Atk) from Mutated Rats (1/2000+ chance).
Beyond that point, you may get lucky and Wrigg could spawn and you might loot a Rotsword (19 Atk), or you can keep working through the Novus Tasks to eventually obtain a Soul Dagger (20 Atk) and Fire Dagger (21 Atk).
